Inventgeek.com was founded with the sole purpose of celebrating the creative powers of the geek! For eons man has been changing the world around us to fit his needs, by harnessing primeval forces and tampering with the just out of grasp in an attempt to better mankind. 

   Fire, steel, splitting the atom have all proven there worth to man kind, but we here at inventgeek.com celebrate the lesser known creative minds, who follow their passion with such zeal that it often is their own undoing. We celebrate those who transformed fire into colorful aerial displays, those who thought, "if nuclear is good, then thermonuclear has to be better..." those who seek the out of reach, or that which might not fit with the norms of the day. Those who may be labeled mad men in their generation due to the lack of foresight of their peers, only to be vindicated centuries later. 

   Now we can not guarantee that any of the content on this site can or will better mankind, and in fact we can not guarantee that any project on this site will not cause an unstoppable chain of events that will inevitably lead to the downfall and destruction of mankind, breaking earth out of its orbit and sending it crashing into the sun, or the sudden global realization that tinfoil hats do work! This site has only one reason to exist: to act as a creative and collaborative outlet for any one who wishes to brand themselves as a geek. Oh, and fun!
